Defense can no longer remain the sole responsibility of armed forces stationed at physical borders; it requires a comprehensive national effort that safeguards critical infrastructure, secures energy grids, and protects industrial intellectual property.
Strategic Lessons for the Contemporary Era
a. Technological Sovereignty Underpins National Sovereignty: A state’s political autonomy is illusory if its digital infrastructure, defense systems, and strategic communications rely on potentially hostile foreign providers or outdated, rapidly depreciating technologies.
